What resolution do my files need to be for printing?

300 DPI for C-Prints and 200 DPI for Giclée prints. We recommend 150-300 DPI for Photobooks, Cards and Calendars |

Why does the print look different than what I see on my computer screen at home?
~ OPEN ~
Your screen may not be calibrated to a general standard, so you may be seeing colors specific to the monitor that you have, any settings and the ambient light. For true colour matching you need to use hardware calibration tools such as EyeOne devices. |

Do you ship internationally?

We ship all over the globe via Canada Post. This typically takes 2-5 days, is traceable and delivered to the customers address. The shipping charge will be calculated automatically. |

What paper should you use?

Choosing the right paper is like selecting clothing, very much a personal taste. We have highly creative people in our production department that will be happy to give you creative advice. Call or email us. |

What's the difference between a C-print and a Giclée print?
~ OPEN ~
A C-print is a chromogenic print on photo paper processed through photo chemistry. A Giclée print is a large format inkjet print using archival inks and a wide range of fine art papers. |

Apart from ROES how else can I upload my images?

You can upload your images to our FTP site. The site address is http://piktoconnect.com The username is “piktoftp” and the password is “upload”. Once your files have successfully uploaded, email us at support@pikto.com to give us instructions. |

When will my Photobook order be ready?

Production time for photobook orders is 5-7 business days. If you have a larger order (10+ books) please allow for 7-10 days of production, depending on project details. Production time does not include shipping. We also offer a RUSH service of 3 business days. Please email press@pikto.com to check on availability. |

How do I change the colour of the cover material?

For Hardcover books, you can change your cover material of Linen, Leatherette or Leather in the shopping cart. This is done once you have sent your album to us through the Book:It software. Thumbnails of each material are shown in the shopping cart to help you with your selection. |

Can I print something on Vellum?
~ OPEN ~
Yes! Add a page at the beginning of the book and place the image/text for the front vellum in page 1 and the back vellum in page 2. If you do no want anything printed on the back sheet of vellum, leave page 2 blank, or vise versa for the first page of your book. Important: Select the option for printing on vellum in the checkout section and remember that the first non-vellum page of the book is now page 3. |
